<aside> ❓ Question: Is this a hackathon?
Answer: Although it bears some resemblance to a hackathon, it's actually much more. Similar to a hackathon, participants form teams and brainstorm ideas over a three-day period, culminating in a presentation to a panel of judges. However, this event goes a step further than the typical hackathon by offering professional design thinking workshops, team icebreakers, and other similar workshops that guide participants through the entire process. Moreover, participants have the chance to work with representatives from non-profit organizations to pinpoint real-world issues and collaboratively develop solutions. As such, participants stand to gain more from this three-day event than they would from a conventional hackathon.

<aside> ❓ Question: Do I need to find other teammates to apply for the event? How do I form teams at the event?
Answer: We interview each participant individually, so you don't need to apply with a team. On the first day of the event, we have a unique team formation process. Everyone will form teams then. However, if you know someone and both of you are accepted into the event, you can certainly form a team with them during the event.
Based on feedback from last year's event, participants found it enjoyable and inspiring to work with people they hadn't met before. This unexpected collaboration was often the most memorable part of the event. Participants reported that they were able to form strong friendships over the three-day period. So, there's no need to worry about finding teammates beforehand. You're welcome to come alone.
